The LIFE TEEN Mass is a celebration of Christ and His teachings. Teens participate
as vocalists and musicians, lectors, ushers, and gift bearers. Although it is geared for teens,
it is an experience for everyone. Please invite your family and friends of all ages.

LIFE TEEN Masses are celebrated every Sunday, September-June, 7:00 p.m.

      THE NEED …
Anyone in youth ministry today knows teenagers have a strong need to feel loved.
With suicide, depression and substance abuse on the rise, teenagers across the country are not only unhappy but also in danger. Many have not yet found a way to fill their emptiness. It’s our job to minister to these teens and save them from a society of lies. It’s our job to lead these young people to Christ. 		 
         
      OUR GOAL
Our goal here is to create a sense of belonging during and after the Mass. We will strive to create an environment that makes it okay to belong to a group based on love and truth from Catholic teachings. Soon you’ll realize that being a Catholic is a way of life, not a 45 minute obligation. More importantly...it can be fun! 		 
         
     

squareWHAT IS LIFE TEEN?
The LIFE TEEN Program is a comprehensive youth ministry program with a strong focus on the Eucharist. Starting with a LIFE TEEN Mass, teens are placed in an environment where they have the opportunity to experience fully the greatest gift we have as the Church. This Liturgy provides the cultural connection for the teens—allowing them to take ownership of their faith so it’s not just their “parent’s thing” anymore. They begin to develop a relationship with Jesus that is both personal and real. Immediately following the Mass, teens gather for the LIFE Night to learn about the Church and their faith in challenging ways.

squareLIFE IS... SPIRITUAL!
LifeTeen helps teens develop individual relationships with God as well as give them the best spiritual experience of all...THE MASS. Providing teens and their parents with a liturgy geared toward their spiritual needs is the heart of the LifeTeen Program.

squareLIFE IS... EDUCATIONAL!
Teens need to hear the truth! Strictly in line with the theology of the
Roman Catholic Church. LifeTeen and SPIRIT, as part of the Parish’s total Youth Ministry, teach through creative Bible studies, discussions and personal experience.

squareLIFE IS... EMOTIONAL!
The atmosphere is open and loving! Life provides an atmosphere where teens can express their feelings (everything from lonliness, pain, anger and sorrow to joy,) and experience the unconditional love of Christ. We don’t just talk about it, we experience it.

squareLIFE IS... SOCIAL!
Building community is an important part of this teen ministry. The LifeTeen and SPIRIT Programs help teens become a part of a community where everyone is invited to experience the fulness of Life through fun and exciting activities.

  
           
        WHO ARE THE FACILITATORS?
The Youth Ministry Team or “Core of Life” consists of enthusiastic, faith-filled young adults and parents sharing their time, interest and faith experiences. The Youth Minister trains this core team. New Core members are always welcome. Come share your ideas ... in your giving you too will receive. 		 
           
        WHAT IS A LIFENIGHT?
Every Sunday following the LIFE TEEN Mass, teens are encouraged to attend LIFE NIGHT. These creative nights bring to Life our Catholic faith and relevent issues for teens. Teens openly share and experience what it is to be Catholic teens today. These catechetical nights are presented in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church and provide a comprehensive array of topics. Teens are encouraged to play an active role in these nights.
